TorinoFilmLab is proud to announce that 2 TFL-supported film were awarded at the 55th Cannes Critics' Week: MIMOSAS by Spanish writer/director Oliver Laxe, honored with the main prize, and DIAMOND ISLAND by Cambodian writer/director Davy Chou. Developed at Interchange 2011, Laxe's second feature MIMOSAS gained the Nespresso Grand Prize, main award of the competition. The film is produced by Zeitun Films and co-produced by La Prod and Rouge International. UFO Distribution will take care of the French release, while international sales are managed by Paris-based firm Luxbox.Developed at last year's FrameWork, Davy Chou's debut fiction feature DIAMOND ISLAND won the SACD Award. The film is produced by Aurora Films, and co-produced by Cambodia, Germany, Thailand and Qatar. French distribution and international sales will be handled by Les Films du Losange.
