TFL Co-Production Fund

The TFL Co-Production Fund supports co-productions between European producers and international co-producers.

WHAT IS THE CO-PRODUCTION FUND

The TFL Co-Production Fund is a € 50,000 production grant, combined with tailored consultancies, to support films in advanced development stage. The Fund is dedicated to fiction, creative documentaries and animation projects over 60 minutes that are international co-productions between countries that are part of the Creative Europe MEDIA strand (*) and countries not participating in the MEDIA strand. The co-production shares required to match the eligibility criteria are the following: MEDIA producers: min. 20% - max. 70%, non-MEDIA producers: min. 30% - max. 80%.


The TFL Co-Production Fund is intended to accompany the film teams in the final steps of their journey towards production, by combining financial backing with training sessions that are at the core of TFL’s expertise.

CONSULTANCIES AND MEETING EVENT

In addition to the monetary grant, the awarded projects will receive tailored consultancies with international experts from the main areas of filmmaking. The consultancies will be decided in conversation with the film team, according to their needs at the time of selection. Examples of consultancies provided to the supported projects in the past years are script consultancy, cinematography, VFX, sound design, production design, audience design.

On top of the individual consultations, the project will have the opportunity to participate to the TFL Meeting Event, taking place every November in Torino, Italy. TFL’s co-production forum is an important occasion of visibility and an opportunity for the selected films to find additional partners thanks to networking moments and one-on-one meetings. The TFL Meeting Event is attended every year by over 200 European and international professionals (producers, distributors, sales agents and film festival representatives).
