Biography

Christian Baute is consulting with the development, packaging, financing and production of some of UK based Headline Picture’s key projects. He is currently executive producing Dustin Hoffman’s directorial debut feature QUARTET starring Albert Finney, Maggie Smith and Tom Courtney which Headline produces in association with Oscar nominated producer Finola Dwyer, German equity partners and the BBC Films and the feature film INVISIBLE WOMAN based on Claire Tomlin award winning book on Charles Dickens. Ralph Fiennes is attached to direct and star the film which Headline Pictures will produce in association with Gaby Tanner (The Duchess and Coriolanus). He has worked as consultant and associate producer of Paris based Naïa Productions SAS, and is co founder and producer of Berlin based Selavy International GmbH & Co. KG. Most recently, he served as Vice President Productions & Acquisitions at Celluloid Dreams where he handled the development, financing and packaging of all Celluloid Dreams productions. He was responsible for producing and executive producing numerous films, including Son of Rambow, Funny Games U.S., 2007 Berlin Silver Bear El Otro, Cannes Jury Prize winner The Mourning Forest, Young Yakuza, and The Countess. Prior to joining Celluloid Dreams, he served as President of Movimento Productions, Paris, where he produced over 60 documentaries, as well as features for both theatrical distribution and for television. He also served as Vice President of the Independent Producers Alliance of France (SPI) from 2004 to 2005, and was a member of CNC Commissions.
