Biography

Lkhagvadulam Purev-Ochir is a Mongolian filmmaker. After graduating with a BA in film direction, she interned at Mongolian National Broadcaster where she trained with renowned Mongolian filmmaker Jigjidsuren Gombojav. She taught at the Mongolian School of Film, Radio, and Television, as well as The Mongolian Institute of Cinematography. She graduated with MA in screenwriting from KinoEyes European Filmmaking Masters in 2018. She is currently pursuing her PhD in screenwriting. Her feature debut project “Ze” attended the Torino Script Lab 2019, where it won CNC Special Mention, and Locarno Open Doors Lab 2019. She also attended Locarno Open Doors Hub 2020, where "Ze" won the Open Doors Production Grant. Her latest short film "Mountain Cat" was chosen for Cannes Shorts in Competition, Sundance IFF, and Toronto IFF, amongst many others.
