Daniela Persico is the curator for L'immagine e la parola, spin-off of the Locarno Festival, takes part to the selection, leads the Critics' Academy and Q&A during the Festival. She's founder and editor in chief of the online quarterly Filmidee (www.filmidee.it) and she manages the Filmidee Summer School, summer campus about critic with guests like Miguel Gomes, Gianfranco Rosi, and Alice Rohrwacher. She is in the selection commitee of Lovers Film Festival (http://www.loversff.com/) and IsReal Festival (http://www.isrealfestival.it/). She wrote essays for various collective books and edited books on the work of Claire Simon (2008), Wang Bing (2010), Emmanuel Carrère (2014) and about film critic (called Cinema is not dead. We are, 2015, and To the Wonder. I nuovi visionari, 2016). In 2009 she directed the medium-lenght Et mondana ordinare, in 2012 she worked as assistant director on Tutto parla di te by Alina Marazzi and she has helped various young filmmakers in developing their films.
