Biography
Sophie Beaulieu grew up in Lyon and New York. A er studying at the École Normale Supérieure and passing the agrégation, she taught English and linguistics. She soon le teaching to write and perform in a trashy, feminist show. Then, she wrote a short film which she directed almost by chance. A er several small self-produced and formative films, she directed I did not shoot Jesse James and Salem, which were broadcast on France 2 and selected in several festivals.
