Biography

Luke is a television producer and executive based in London and, from summer ’23, L.A. He’s worked extensively on book adaptations and building slates from scratch. Most recently, he established the London office of Swedish label Yellow Bird, where he developed and produced ‘Young Wallander’ and co-exec’d 'The Playlist’, optioning the book on which it was based at proposal stage. He led development across the slate, working with both established and emerging writers. Previously, Luke worked at Frank Spotnitz’s Big Light Productions, on ‘The Man In the High Castle’ and two seasons of ‘Ransom’, a CBS procedural about a team of hostage negotiators. Luke started his career reading for London’s new writing theatres - the Soho, Bush and Gate theatres - then script edited on returning series at ITV, before joining Mammoth Screen as head of development. From 2016 to 2021, Luke was a guest lecturer on the DFFB’s Serial Eyes programme for early career writers in Berlin, working with 60 writers from across Europe. He’s a voting member of BAFTA.
