Biography

Born in Grosseto in 1983, in 2007 he graduated in methodologies of film language at the University of Siena and during the same period he worked on various film sets in different roles, trying to learn the peculiarities of individual departments. In 2009 he wrote and directed the short film DUEDITRE (TWO of THREE), selected in international festivals and winner of several national awards. In 2011 he directed the short documentary, written with Davide Orsini, FIGLI DI DIO (SONS OF GOD), one of the episodes in the participated film project CENA DI NATALE (THE CHRISTMAS LUNCH), premiered at the Rome International Film Festival. He is also active in advertising and in 2011 he won the first prize in the national competition Movi & co. for the commercial EMERGENCY for Avis Milan. In 2012 he directed the documentary film PASCOLI A BARGA (PASCOLI IN BARGA), written with Davide Orsini, for the centenary of the death of the Italian poet Giovanni Pascoli. In the same year he directed his first feature film AQUADRO (ASQUARED), whose screenplay, written with David Orsini, won the Mattador Award in 2012 and was finalist at the Premio Solinas Experimenta 2011. Produced by Mood Film with Rai Cinema and the support of BLS-Business Location Sudtirol, the film tells the story of two teenagers, the difficulty of growing up and living new experiences, such as sex and especially love, in a world where emotions and feelings are always more lived through the new language of video, photos, mobile phones, internet and social networks. The movie is part of a Rai Cinema project called "Web Movies" and was released in March 2013 in free streaming on the web channel of Telecom Italia, CuboVision.it, and later on RaiCinemaChannel.it. The movie had his international premiere at the 24th Cinequest Film Festival in California and won three festivals in Italy and one in France. Lodovichi is currently writing his second feature film I FIGLI DEL FREDDO (CHILDREN OF THE ICE), with Isabella Aguilar and Davide Orsini, developed by Mood Film and Rai Cinema. The project received the support of BLS-Business Location Sudtirol Development Fund and has been selected in the Writer's Room section of  the 2014 Torino Film Lab.
