Biography

Nicole O’Donohue is a Sydney based independent producer whose short films have screened at over 60 festivals worldwide, and include the acclaimed short film SPIDER, which won an honourable mention at the Sundance Film Festival in 2008. In 2009 Nicole founded production company Green Park Pictures with writer/director Leon Ford. Previously Nicole & Leon collaborated on short films THE MECHANICALS which premiered at the Venice Film Festival in 2005 and KATOOMBA which took out the Dendy Award for Best Short Film at the Sydney Film Festival in 2007. Prior to financing her first feature she associate produced the BAFTA award winning children’s TV series LOCKIE LEONARD (2007) and line produced the Australian feature film CEDAR BOYS (2008). Most recently Nicole produced writer/director Leon Ford’s debut feature film GRIFF THE INVISIBLE which had it’s world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival in September 2010. GRIFF THE INVISIBLE starring Ryan Kwanten ( HBO’S TRUE BLOOD) and Maeve Dermody (BEAUTIFUL KATE) is due for release in March 2011 in Australia/New Zealand (Transmission Films) and in the US (Indomina Releasing). Nicole is currently taking part in the Binger Film Lab’s Creative Producers Course alongside writer/director Leon Ford who is doing the Writers Lab - they are developing their next feature film THE MECHANICALS.
