Giuseppe Gallo graduated in Literature at “La Sapienza” University of Rome and earned his M.B.A from “Luiss Business School” in Rome. He has been involved in film production and distribution activities in Italy and internationally.
From 2000 to 2005 he worked for the Rome operation of Bavaria Film Group, developing projects, coproductions and managing international sales of a great number of “auteur” films. From 2006 to 2012 he joined CDI Distribution, as Head of Acquisitions, distributing mostly independent US and English titles, before moving to his own film company Picture Show.
He has produced several short films, has written and produced a musical comedy for theatre, and has been developing a slate of feature films and documentaries, which have been selected at the Atelier de Cinéfondation of Cannes, the Sundance Institute Screenwriters Workshop, the Film London Production Finance Market, EAVE and others.
In 2018, he produced the feature film “Twin Flower” which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival 2018 and was awarded of FIPRESCI Prize’s Honourable Mention. The film has also been selected at the Busan International Film Festival , BFI London Film Festival and at the Rome Film Festival “Alice nella Città” 2018. He is currently raising the finance of two new films, he has developed, “The Other Way” and “The Wound”, directed both by first time directors.
