FrameWork supports emerging international talent with individually tailored tools for development, financing and marketing.
The programme lasts 5 months (from July to November), assisting projects and assessing both content and production strategies through 2 residential workshops, individual meetings and on-line sessions that are defined during the process.
Through close dialogue with each core team, TorinoFilmLab works to define each project’s particular needs and aims in order to enhance and strengthen its resources and opportunities. Intense script and project development increases the momentum of the projects in reaching the production stage. After studying the most feasible production strategies, each project team will have the coordinated efforts of the TorinoFilmLab at their disposal throughout the programme.
During the workshops participants get to meet various guest trainers coming from different fields, each of whom has a specific area of expertise: from directing to sound design, from co-production issues to sales, from financing to marketing, and so forth. The trainers and subjects vary from year to year and always guarantee a tailored approach for the specificities of each project.
At the end of the programme all projects are pitched in front of producers, sales agents and other Decision Makers who are invited to the TorinoFilmLab Meeting Event in November, during the Torino Film Festival. On this occasion, an international Jury assigns a number of Production Awards to the best projects that have been developed: selected projects are granted amounts of funding starting from 50.000 Euro. TorinoFilmLab’s partners also award other collateral prizes and an Audience Award is assigned to the project resulting the most voted by the attending Decision Makers.
9 teams of writer/director & producer are selected to enter the FrameWork programme.
