A Beijing-based film curator and producer, Meng Xie was the film curator at Ullens Center for Contemporary Art from 2009-2014. Mr. Xie’s producing credits include Sundance award-winning film "Free and Easy" (Geng Jun, 2017), "Ash" (Li Xiaofeng, 2017) and documentary "High Tech, Low Life" (2012). He is the partner of Blackfin, a new powerhouse of arthouse Chinese films ("Kaili Blues", "Knife in the Clear Water", "Mr. Zhang Believes"). He recently founded a new sales agency and film financing company Rediance. Its recent lineup includes Rotterdam Tiger award winning film The Widowed Witch, Berlinale winning film An Elephant Sitting Still and Venice Queer Lion award film Jose. Rediance's first financing project is Anthony Chen's The Wet Season. He is also the artistic director of CineSquare, a new arthouse cinema in Beijing.
