Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska is a Producer at Madants and Mid March Media. She is an active EFA and Polish Producers Association member, working as a tutor and panelist for selected international events. In 2015 Klaudia Śmieja-Rostworowska together with Beata Rzeźniczek founded MADANTS, Warsaw-based production company with the aim to produce independent films with potential for distribution and international festival access. Since the moment of establishment it has become one of the most active Polish production outlets involved in such films as Claire Denis' HIGH LIFE (TIFF, San Sebastian FF, US distribution by A24), starring Robert Pattinson and Juliette Binoche, partly shot in Poland, as well as Hafsteinn Gunnar Sigurdsson's UNDER THE TREE (Venice FF, TIFF, US distribution by Magnolia Pictures), Babis Maridis' Sundance-selected PITY, Emir Baigazin's THE RIVER (Best Director winner at Venice Orizzonti selection), Icelandic LAMB by Valdimar Jóhannsson starring Noomi Rapace (Un Certain Regard Cannes 2021, US distribution by A24), produced with Warner Bros a dark hip-hop musical titled OTHER PEOPLE, directed by Aleksandra Terpińska (Tallinn Black Nights FF 2021) and Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s first English-language film THE SILENT TWINS, starring Black Panther’ actress Letitia Wright selected for Cannes Un Certain Regard 2022, as well as Dmytro Sukholytkyy-Sobchuk’s Ukrainian-French-Polish-Chilean feature PAMFIR (Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes 2022), Fernando Guzzoni’s BLANQUITA (Venice 2022, Queer Lion Award 2023), Goran Stolevski’s HOUSEKEEPING FOR BEGINNERS (Venice 2023), Małgorzata Szumowska and Michał Englert’s WOMAN OF… (Venice Competition 2023), and James Napier Robertson’s JOIKA, starring Talia Ryder and Diane Kruger (Palm Springs 2024). Her latest productions include Burhan Qurbani’s NO BEAST SO FIERCE (Berlinale 2025), and Agnieszka Smoczyńska’s sci-fi film HOT SPOT (in post-production).
Klaudia is also a co-founder of Mid March Media, established in 2021, a company involved in international co-productions and talent-driven projects. Her 2025 slate as producer includes Michael Gracey’s BETTER MAN, Academy Award-winning film starring Robbie Williams, as well as THE TESTAMENT OF ANN LEE by Mona Fastvold and ORPHAN by László Nemes, both premiered at Venice 2025 and Toronto 2025. Klaudia is also a producer of SACRIFICE by Romain Gavras, which premiered at Toronto 2025.
