Biography

Julie Savary studied History and Politics in Geneva and Berlin. She started her professional career in 2010 when she was awarded a residency at Fabrica, the Benetton Applied Arts and Communication Research Centre in Italy, where she spent one year writing for Colors Magazine. She subsequently benefited from the international exchange program of the Guggenheim Foundation and the Venice Biennale and collaborated with the Locarno Film Festival while developing in parallel, from 2013, a consulting, translation and subtitling activity for cinema. As a reader and consultant, she worked on several European co-productions before joining the editorial team of ARTE France Cinéma as Head of Projects in 2019. She regularly serves on festival juries, moderates masterclasses and teaches screenplay analysis workshops.
