Born in 1988 in Tehran, Iran, Dornaz Hajiha got her BA in graphic design from Al Zahra University in 2011. She worked as a photographer and graphic designer for a few years while attending film workshops with maestros such as Asghar Farhadi and Bahram Beyzayi. Eventually, she managed to get a scholarship from London Film School to pursue her dream of becoming a filmmaker. She got her MA in film production with distinction from London Film School in 2015. She has made a number of short films and a documentary, mostly written by herself. Her short films, “Marziye” (co-written) and “Marlon”, (written by her) have been showcased and have won awards in numerous film festivals around the world. Dornaz is now residing in Tehran. She has finished filming her first feature and is now working on her second feature script.
