Alicia studied English and Irish at University College Dublin and went on to complete a Masters in Screen Writing and Screen Directing at Drama Centre, Central Saint Martins, London.
Alicia has produced, written and directed a number of short films including STEELE, a visual art video starring Killian Scott. Her most recent short film, THE PIKE, starring Sinéad Cusack, is currently on the festival circuit and premiered at Cork International Film Festival in 2017. The film also competed at the Kerry Film Festival, Fastnet Film Festival and New York Lift-off Film Festival.
Short films written and produced at Drama Centre, London include, BUNCH OF LOVE, which premiered at the Curzon in Soho, London. SHELF LIFE was selected by a number of festivals including Peniche Cinema in Paris, CAM*ERA Film Festival, Brixton Film festival and the Portobello Film Festival.
After graduating from Drama Centre, Alicia was commissioned by the university to produce and direct a film written by the undergraduate actors on the BA course. LIFE IN A BAG premiered at the Actor’s Agent Showcase at the Barbican, London.
Alicia has also worked as a story liner for RTE’s long running TV soap opera, FAIR CITY. She is currently producing the feature film, THE SPARROW, which is soon to go into production and is developing a number of projects, across both film and television, through her company Tiger Darling Films, with Screen Ireland support.
She is currently writing her own TV series 'Love and Chastity' and also working on her next feature script, 'Tajabone' which has been selected for the Torino Film Lab- Next development workshops 2020.
