A comedy performer and writer from Italy, Cecilia has been working as an actress in theatre, TV and film since graduating from Drama Centre and NFTS, while also being
one of the UK’s go-to Italian voices. She has co-written the documentary Maradonapoli by CinemaUndici and the sitcom Che Classe! by Indiana Production. Her first book Inseguendo un sogno about a football pioneer was published by Sperling & Kupfer and optioned for TV. Her documentary Mi piaceva picchiare, on one of the first stuntwomen of Italia cinema, is a Premio Solina finalist.
She is also a trained script developer, working as a reader and editor for the BFI, Channel4 and production companies. Current feature projects include Expat Underground, about an impossible mission to become British while remaining deeply European and Dead Grandad, a mother’s bizarre pursuit to make her daughter bond with the urn of her dead grandfather. Her work has been describes as “a very natural kind of funny” and “genuinely hilarious”. She agrees.
