Carol is the CEO of LemonSlice Pictures, a Film Production company based in Nairobi and Johannesburg. As a passionate lover of African content, Carol introduced the 48 Hour Film Project to Nairobi, Kenya in 2013 managing over 500 filmmakers and producing over 50 independent short films, all of which premiered to sold out cinemas in Nairobi – a first of it's kind. As one of 130 City Producers across the world, Carol has successfully run the competition since sending the winning team from 2014 to the Cannes Film Festival the following year. Carol is one of five producers who run the international competition annually in Africa.
Carol also serves as the National Coordinator (Kenya) for the African Narrative CoProduction Forum, a platform backed by the Department of Arts and Culture (SA) towards creating high quality films through coproductions amongst African filmmakers. She is currently producing three projects under this initiative: a sci-fi drama feature film, a dark comedy feature film and a dramedy TV series.
Her most recent work is a documentary dubbed "The People Vs The People" an exploration of black love, produced for Arcade Content, Johannesburg in partnership with MTV Africa.
