Gabi Suciu has over 16 years of experience in film and audiovisual content production and is a constant presence in major film festivals. In 2024, "Where the Elephants Go", a captivating drama she produced, was released in 2024 representing Romania in the Smart 7 Itinerant Competition. She is back in 2026 as the Smart 7 selection for Romania to compete in the festival alliance with the Romanian-French-Slovenian co-production "A River's Gaze", created with the support of none other than Hollywood actor Sebastian Stan. The most notable film of her career so far is "Blue Moon", released in 2021, the first Romanian film to win the Golden Shell at the renowned San Sebastian film festival in its 73 editions, which received since 7 other awards. Gabi combines her field work with her professorship and academic endeavours, being the director of the Film Production's program and the vice-dean of the Film Faculty at UNATC. She combines cinema, education and research to foster a smarter, caring and more inclusive society.
