Eric Lamhène is a Luxembourgish writer and director, with a focus on intimate, character-driven storytelling shaped by emotional nuance. His first feature, Breathing Underwater (FR: Hors d’Haleine), premiered in competition at the Warsaw International Film Festival and went on to screen at several international festivals, where it received multiple awards. The film was also selected as Luxembourg’s official submission for Best International Feature Film at the 2026 Academy Awards and was later honoured with Best Film and Best Screenplay at the Lëtzebuerger Filmpräis 2025. Eric is currently writing a television series supported by RTL and Filmfund Luxembourg and is developing his next feature project.
