Tommaso Frangini worked as
assistant director on Hannah by
Andrea Pallaoro, presented in
competition at Venice Film Festival.
He then moved to Los Angeles to
pursue an MFA in Film Directing at
CalArts. In 2020 he directed Finis
Terrae, selected at Venice Critics’
Week and awarded the FEDIC Prize
and the Ermanno Olmi Prize. He
returned to Venice Critics’ Week in
2023 with Group Picture, which won
several awards and was nominated
for the David di Donatello.
