Esra Demirkıran is Festivals Coordinator at TRT Sinema. She is also a coordinator of 12 Punto, Türkiye’s leading script development and co-production platform. She is involved in the Turkish and international TRT co-productions and festival relations. Previously, she worked as a researcher for the Eurimages support program for non-conventional films. For almost a decade, she was a news editor and executive-produced programs and documentaries for Türkiye’s Haberturk news network. Before journalism, Esra was Board President and Co-Director of NISI MASA, a Paris-based European cinema network. She has worked as a film critic and festival distribution consultant for award-winning Turkish films, and contributed to the planning of film festivals in Türkiye. Esra provides training on project development and festival distribution, and is a member of the European Film Academy. She studied Sociology at Middle East Technical University and holds an MA in Film & TV from Istanbul Bilgi University.
