Helio Pu (b. 1994, Xi'an) is a French-Chinese filmmaker and a graduate of La Fémis whose work explores themes of time and memory. His films, including ‘Airiel’ (2020) and ‘Every Heaven in Between’ (2023), have been screened across three continents at venues such as La Cinémathèque Française, Côté Court, Saatchi Gallery London, ACMI Melbourne, New Ways of Seeing, and Nowness Asia.
As an editor with over 20 films to his credit, his work has been selected for festivals including Locarno, Clermont-Ferrand, and the Festival du Nouveau Cinéma in Montreal. His collaborations include projects with artists Bertrand Mandico and Elina Löwensohn. In 2024, he was selected for a residency at the Villa Medici and joined the inaugural France-Korea Film Academy. He is currently developing his debut feature, ‘Anywhere Anytime’, a project selected for Casell'Arte, Les Arcs Talent Village, and the Torino Film Lab's ScriptLab 2025.
