Felix Herrmann studied History and Anthropology at Humboldt University Berlin, and Documentary Film Directing at HFF Munich and ENS Louis-Lumière in Paris. As a director, he has realized several short films and one first feature, all characterized by an approach that blends documentary and fiction elements. His films have been nominated twice for the German Short Film Award and have screened at major international festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, Oberhausen, and the Berlinale.
Driven by an interest in a broader understanding of filmmaking, he co-founded the production company Benedetta Films, where he produces auteur-driven projects with a focus on international collaborations, particularly between Germany and France. He participated in the Mach Me programme in Locarno.
