Abner Pastoll is a British film director and screenwriter based in London, whose family owned a cinema in South Africa when he was a kid.
His credits include the short films The Secret Wish (Winner, Super Shorts 2007), Homicide: Division B (Distributed worldwide on TV by Shorts International since 2009), A Great Mistake (Nominated Best Comedy, 2011 Shanghai Film Festival) and Me or the Dog, a comedy-drama starring Edward Hogg that premiered out of competition in Coup de Coeur at the 2011 Festival de Cannes, which was released theatrically in London in March 2012, and which was selected as part of the Official Selection at the Academy Award qualifying 2012 LA Shorts Fest, where it screened in competition.
Abner is currently in pre-production on the feature film suspense-thriller Fausse Route, from a script that he also wrote, produced by Junyoung Jang (The Host) and Guillaume Benski (March of the Penguins).

Currently in post-production is the film A Long Way From Home, from BAFTA nominated writer-director Virginia Gilbert and starring Natalie Dormer (Game of Thrones), James Fox (BAFTA winner), Brenda Fricker (Academy Award winner, My Left Foot) and Paul Nicholls (Bridget Jones 2). Currently in pre-production is the France-set suspense-thriller Fausse Route from writer-director Abner Pastoll. February Films have a slate of titles in development including the dark comedy thriller Room to Let from writers Gerlind Becker and Abner Pastoll, Brazil-set sci-fi thriller The Pill from writer-director Douglas Duarte (Personal Che) in co-production with Rio-based TVzero, an English language live-action adaptation of the most successful Korean sci-fi graphic novel Melody, and a MEDIA development fund supported time-travel adventure.
