Dorien van de Pas is born in The Netherlands and living in Amsterdam, she graduated in filmstudies in Nijmegen, the Netherlands (1988).
Then she programmed an arthouse and afterwards worked as a salesmanager at Polygram, specialised in artfilms.
After that she worked as a cinemadirecor and freelance for some distributors.
She started her own company Dial M for Movies, Marketing & More in 1999 and worked as a consultant for the Netherlands Filmfund, producers and the Holland Festival.
In 2001 she joined the Dutch cultural Media Fund as a staffmember for television drama, feature films, childrensfilms and radio.
In 2009 she became Head of feature film at the Netherlands Film Fund and is responsible for the applications for development and production of the (majority) features: arthouse and commecial, animation and also childrensfilms. She is also the representative for Eurimages for the Netherlands
