With initial training in economics and early working experience in Marketing and Advertising of consumer goods, Carlos travelled to The Netherlands in 2004 to course a Master in Communication at the University of Amsterdam. His final thesis: a comparative analysis of three different Film Industries (Hollywood, Spain and Colombia).
On his return to Colombia in late 2006 he began to work with Dynamo Capital, a Private Equity Film Fund based in Bogotá and focused on co-productions with Ibero-American countries. His main responsibility has been scouting and evaluating new screenplays for financing and co-production. Since 2007 he has evaluated more than 300 screenplays for Dynamo.
Carlos is currently participating in the 2010 Creative Producers Programme at the Binger Film Lab in Amsterdam, and works as external advisor for screenplay scouting and development with Dynamo Capital. And he loves Cinema to the bone!
