My name is Nandor Lovas, I live in Budapest and have been working in the film industry since 2008.
Since then I worked for several Budapest based production companies (e.g: Filmpartners, Katapult Film, Inforg Studio, Proton Cinema, Pioneer Productions) as production manager and location/unit manager, and contributed to the films of acclaimed Hungarian directors (e.g. Szabolcs Hajdu, György Pálffy, Benedek Fliegauf) as well as young emerging talents at the threshold of international recognition.
Working on set for years I got to know and understand the small practical details of filmmaking, which I believe is an invaluable experience for anyone who wants to produce movies.
In 2009 I had to opportunity to step further and together with director Szabolcs Hajdu and producer Andrea Taschler we founded our own production company Mirage Film Studio. Our aim is to produce feature, short and documentary projects on the highest possible standard while also functioning as a creative workshop by developing projects of young Hungarian talents with the involvment of acknowledged international writ.
Mirage tells the story of an African football player in a small Hungarian town, who commits a crime and has to flee. He finds refuge on a farm deep in the Hungarian flatland. Soon he realizes that the farm is a modern slave camp where he is forced to fight for his freedom and ultimately his life.
