Tatiana Leite

Biography

Graduate in Law, film studies and Art History at Sorbonne University, Tatiana Leite was a film programmer at the Rio International Film Festival from 2000 till 2009 and part of the selection committee for both Rio and São Paulo short film festivals. In 2010 she became the International Adviser of the Rio de Janeiro State Secretariat of Culture. During the years she curated several film seasons and retrospectives such as Ozu’s, Guy Maddin, New Malaysian Cinema, among others. In the end of 2012 Tatiana created the production company Bubbles Project. Her company is deeply involved in coproduction and discovering new talents in Brazil and abroad. Tatiana already produced 5 feature films: Loveling (Benzinho) by Gustavo Pizzi, premiered in Sundance Film Festival 2018; Nona - If they soak me, I’ll burn them by Camila Jose Donoso, Tiger Competition at Rotterdam International Film Festival; A Family Submerged (Familia Sumergida) by María Alché, premiered in Locarno 2018, and winner of San Sebastian Film Festival New Horizons; Pendular by Julia Murat, premiered at the Panorama Section Berlinale 2017, winner of the FIPRESCI Award; and Hopefuls (Aspirantes) directed by Ives Rosenfeld premiered in Karlovy Vary and winner Locarno's Carte Blanche in 2014. She is currently co-producing Rule 34 by Julia Murat, and is developing other projects, including Neuros by Guilherme Coelho, Other Times by Christiane Jatahy, Porcupine by Eva Randolph, Amanhã Será Outro Dia, de Pedro Pinho, and the genre film The Inheritance by João Candido Zacharias.
