Biography

Olivier Dubois graduted in Art History at the Free University of Brussels (ULB), He worked as a producer from 1997 to 2001 for WFE, a company owned by director Alain Berliner (My Life in Pink, The Wall, The Passion of Mind). In 2001, he creates with four partners Novak Prod with the scope of developing and producing films from a wide range of genres, subjects, forms and budgets but with a strong author point of view. So far, he produced and coproduced more than 50 films. Among them for Novak prod, features: Tiens ta droite by Robin Erard (2015), Gutland (2016) by Govinda Van Maelen, Death by Death by Xavier Seron (2015) The Taste of Blueberries by Thomas de Their (2014), starring Michel Piccoli, Out-The-Law by Rachid Bouchareb (2010), Buffaloes Boy by Minh Nguyen (2004), The Lovers of Dent Blanche by Raymond Vouillamoz (2005)). Documentariers: Dexia- Nobodies’s fault by Alain de Haleux, The Man with The Harpoon – doc serie- by Isabelle Christiaens (2015), The Cinema of the Dardenne Brothers by Alain Marcoen and Luc Jabon (2013), My Name by Olivier Hespel (2010), Rachel by Simone Bitton (2009), Of Sand and Ciment – Letter to Elias by Jorge Leon (2003)). Olivier Dubois is an active member of the Belgian French speaking Film Producers Union (UPFF), a former member of the Film Commission of the Centre for Cinema and Audiovisual of the Federation of Brussels and Wallonia and has been teaching since 2007 at the I.A.D.
