Katrin Gebbe starts her film career by shooting short – and experimental films at the Academy of Visual Arts and Design (NL) and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston (USA). 2006 she finishes her study with the Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications and starts the masters study in directing at the Hamburg Media School (GER). In October 2008 she graduates with honors. During this time she directs award-winning short films, a.o. her final exam film SORES & SIRIN, which wins the Adult Jury Prize at the Chicago Int. Children’s Film Festival, USA. Her first feature NOTHING BAD CAN HAPPEN premieres at the official competition at the Cannes Film Festival in 2013 and wins many national and international awards.
