A mentally troubled young woman named Berrin, accidentally finds an old lady dead at home. She envisions the dead body as her deceased sister, who passed away a year ago. As nobody notices it around; Berrin begins spending time over there and celebrates reuniting with her sister. At first she is happy of thinking that her sister is in heaven. However she gets devastated when she learns that her sister has gone to hell, because of committing suicide.
Envisioning her sister in pain, drives Berrin more mental. She starts making good deeds in order to help her to ascend to heaven. She visits the elderly lonesome people, gives presents to sick children and even makes a donation to mosque in the name of her sister.
Meanwhile her hatred towards her father increases gradually, but she suppresses her rage to avoid getting hospitalised again. One night, she can’t contain herself anymore and blames her father for her sister’s death. A long waited confrontation takes place in the family and Berrin's mother learns about the dead body. By that, Berrin comes to a point where she has to leave for her own good, or to stay for her sister’s sake on the other side.
