We are pleased to announce a new collaboration between TorinoFilmLab and Open Doors, the co-production lab of Locarno Film Festival. The 2014 edition of Open Doors is dedicated to Sub-Saharan Africa and especially to the English and Portuguese speaking countries: 12 projects will be brought to Locarno by their directors and producers to present them to potential partners. In addition to the workshops for participants in the co-production lab, relating to current issues in independent film production and distribution, the new partnership, initiated to further enhance the training initiative, will allow a number of projects to have the opportunity to work with a TorinoFilmLab tutor on their script. Additionally, a representative of one of the Open Doors projects will participate in the next TorinoFilmLab Meeting Event (24-26 November 2014). The twelfth edition of Open Doors will take place 9-12 August as part of the 67th Locarno Film Festival, 6-16 August 2014. For more information about the Open Doors selection 2014, click here.
