Kesmat El Sayed is a producer, and co-founder of SEE MEDIA PRODUCTION independent production company based in Egypt. After launching her first international production "Althawra...khabar" (Reporting a revolution) which premiered at the Berlinale, she founded a production company to produce creative feature documentaries and narrative films that have social relevance and transcends country borders. She has produced documentaries for first time filmmakers and established ones and focused on women directors and stories. She has released three short documentaries and two feature documentaries that Premiered at International festivals. Her film “From Cairo” by Hala Galal won the best non fiction award at the Cairo International film festival 2021. Films have been produced in co-production and with the support of several funds. Since the end of 2020 she has moved to Berlin and founded a production company SEERA FILMS GmbH to have more freedom to work on more daring projects and currently in development with a fiction film that will be shot in Berlin. Kesmat is an EAVE Producers Workshop Alumni since 2021.
