I’m Anglo-Burmese and grew up in Scotland before graduating from the Dutch Film Academy. I cut my teeth into the industry as a producer and script editor, on i.e. the Danish co-production The Holiday which premiered at Sundance Film Festival.
Coincidingly I developed my own screenwriting and directing skills through short films. Being mixed race and multicultural influences my storytelling as I aim to create worlds on screen in a way that I experience them; complex, diverse and colourful.
I’m all about composition, grading, energy and creating spaces for natural acting. I love
getting up in peoples faces, surreal worlds and I have a passion for marrying narrative with music. My goal is to reach a wide audience so I explore confronting themes through classical genres and give them a twist.
My latest film HOLD ON premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival and won best narrative short. Presently I am working on a feature film with Fable Pictures UK, and a feature funded by Creative Scotland and the Dutch Film Fund.
