Francesco Romano was born in 1992 on the outskirts of Naples. He graduated from the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. In 2017 he co-directed with Carlo Manzo the documentary "Sub Tuum Praesidium", premiered at the Festival dei Popoli. In 2020 he directed the short film "Tropicana", awarded for the best director at Alice nella Città. In 2021 he directed the short film "Ambasciatori", nominated for the David di Donatello 2023, selected at the Festival du Court Métrage De Clermont-Ferrand 2022 and the Telluride Film Festival 2022, among others. In addition to his experience as a director, he collaborates as a D.O.P. for several films and documentaries.
