Carlos Saiz (Murcia, 1991). His latest work Muerte Murciélago (2021), an animated short film about the natural disaster in Portman Bay, a mining town next to his hometown, has been selected at festivals such as ZINEBI, Festival de Málaga, Slamdance Film Festival, MECAL and ABYCINE and was shortlisted for the 37th edition of the Goya Awards. His first short film, La hoguera (2020), which he shot as his master's final project, has been selected in festivals around the world such as SSIFF, Festival Malaga, Clermont-Ferrand, Molodist Kyiv Film Festival or Ficunam. He is currently preparing the feature films Lionel, which precedes his work La hoguera and with which he intends to delve into the paternal-filial relationship and the passage to adulthood, and Playing Tinieblas starring Milena Smit and Abelo Valis. Other outstanding works are the music videos Islamabab (2017) by Los Planetas and Famoso en tres calles (2022) by Carolina Durante and the creation and direction of the visual pieces that have accompanied Leiva's tour in 2022.
