The 8th edition of TFL Coming Soon - which focuses on the showcase of TFLfilms almost ready for the festival circuit - took place in a fully renovated shape thanks to the new partnership with European Work in Progress.

A middle class Chinese family leads a seemingly harmonious life, until their son brings home a mysterious new friend.

16-year-old Ami embarks on a mystical road trip to Japan searching for her long-lost mother in a bid to change the destiny of her separated family members dealing with a traumatic event buried in their past.

The project was one of the 3 titles that got the 'European Work in Progress Crew United Prize'.

WHAT HAPPENED

Between 17th and 19th October 2022, they competed with around 25 other carefully selected projects* for the numerous prizes (a total of 52,500 euros in funding to be assigned by the joint partners) awarded by a distinguished international jury. Among the prizes, has been launched the new EWIP-TorinoFilmLab Audience Design Award that foresees an Audience Design Consultancy with TFL experts that aims at analyzing the film from a marketing and audience engagement perspective, providing creative ideas to support the moments of sales and distribution. The award went to SULTANA’S DREAM by Isabel Herguera.
