the jury awards 140.000€ to SALVO by Antonio Piazza and Fabio Grassadonia
For his invitation to an unforgettable and magical trip to the zoo, the
jury awards 180.000 € to POSTCARDS FROM THE ZOO by Edwin
For its courageous, human and beautiful approach to dark and difficult
content, the jury awards 100.000€, the full amount to complete the
financing of THE SLUT by Hagar ben Asher.
DEVELOPMENT AWARDS
Out of 20 projects which were developed during the advanced screenwriting course Script&Pitch Workshops/Training Program 2009, 6 Development Awards were assigned upon conclusion of the Final Event, which will allow recipients to continue working on their projects during the next year, as part of the TorinoFilmLab Development Program.
- DARKNESS AT NOON by scriptwriter-director Massoud Bakhshi, Iran (producer Mohammad Afarideh for Bon Gah Cultural Center).
- DEAD SEA by scriptwriter-director Ihab Jadallah, Palestine/France (producer Lucas Rosant for MPM Films).
- THE SCREAM OF THE BUTTERFLY by scriptwriter-director Kirsi Marie Liimatainen, Finland (producer Kaarle Aho for Making Movies Oy).
- HEAVY WATER by scriptwriter-director Fabrice Main, France.
- WOLF by scriptwriter-director Bogdan Mustata, Romania (producer Marcian Lazar).
- WALL OF FOG by scriptwriter-director Tobias Nölle, Switzerland.
POST PRODUCTION AWARD
The Post Production Award goes to Lucas Rosant, producer of DEAD SEA, to financially support his participation to the European Post Production Connection (EP2C) Training Programme. The EP2C workshop will take place over one week in July 2010 in Belgium and will focus on how to manage at best the post production stage of a European film coproduction.
