Just three years after the beginning of the SeriesLab programme, we are extremely pleased to celebrate the release of the first TFL Series ever, ALBATROS, available from tomorrow on Telenet Play in Flanders & Brussels!
ALBATROS focuses on ten obese men and women, who want to improve their lives and therefore participate in the “Albatros” slimming camp in the Ardennes. However, upon arrival it is clear that they carry not only physical, but also emotional excess weight, and the atmosphere quickly gets heated.
The TV series is divided into 8 episodes of 42 minutes each. It was developed in SeriesLab 2018 – the second edition of the programme addressed to long fiction TV series projects at an early development stage. ALBATROS is directed by Wannes Destoop, who wrote the script together with Dominique Van Malder, Tom Dupont and Gilles Coulier, and it is produced by Gilles Schryver of De Wereldvrede (Belgium). World sales are handled by Wild Bunch (France). In February 2021, ALBATROS will also be released on Canvas (VRT).
In twelve years of activities and more than 100 TFL Films released and awarded all over the world, the TFL community reaches another goal and opens new horizons for future TV series to come.
