TorinoFilmLab and Trentino Film Commission are proud to announce their new collaboration to foster eco-sustainable production thanks to a new prize: the Green Filming Award, presented yesterday at the MIA – Italian Audiovisual Market.
In an event dedicated to Green Growth and Sustainable Development in the Audiovisual Industry and moderated by Screen Daily journalist Gabriele Niola, TFL Managing Director Mercedes Fernandez has explained the modalities of this new award.
The Green Filming Award will be granted within the programme FeatureLab, to the winning projects of the Production Awards who will apply the Green Film protocol - a tool developed by Trentino Film Commission, designed to encourage film and TV producers to work in an environmentally friendly way.
It will include the realization of a sustainability plan, covering the agency certification costs if any, as well as a monetary contribution of € 2000.
The Green Film protocol has already been adopted on the European level. The aim of this new partnership is to raise awareness within the industry and encourage more international productions to commit on concrete actions to limit their carbon footprint.
Head of the Trentino Film Commission Luca Ferrario will present the protocol to the TorinoFilmLab participants during a special masterclass, in late October.
TorinoFilmLab is actively advocating for a more sustainable industry.
