We are excited to launch the 2020 calls for TFL’s funds dedicated to international co-productions: feature film projects – fiction, documentary or animation – involving European and extra-European partners can now apply for the TFL Audience Design Fund & the TFL Co-Production Fund!
TFL Co-Production Fund for experienced directors
TorinoFilmLab renews its support to filmmakers with at least 2 feature films under their belt through a second edition of the TFL Co-Production Fund (formerly known as the TFL World Co-Production Fund).
The selected project will receive a € 50.000 production grant and the film team will follow a curated agenda to boost its development. They will participate in the 2nd FeatureLab workshop as a guest project, where they will benefit from individual consultations with trainers in the main areas of filmmaking. A follow-up session will be organized during the TFL Meeting Event, ensuring international exposure to the project.
To be eligible, the project must be structured as a co-production between European producer(s) and international partners and the application must be made by a production company from a country participating in Creative Europe – MEDIA. Priority will be given to projects at an advanced development stage (at least 25% of the budget confirmed). All eligibility criteria are available here.
Deadline to apply: April 28th, 2020

TFL Audience Design Fund to expand the film’s reach
We are happy to announce that TorinoFilmLab will assign 3 distribution grants of € 45.000 each to feature film projects (fiction, documentary or animation), to support their release in 3 territories and the ideation of innovative distribution strategies.
On top of the financial support, the selected films will benefit from an expanded Audience Design Consultancy with TFL experts: the film teams will participate in a 4-day workshop preceded and followed by additional online sessions, with the aim to define a strategy to each, build and engage audiences.
Applicants must be producers or sales agents established in one of the countries participating in the MEDIA sub-programme and must present an eligible film project structured as an international co-production. The film must be scheduled to be released in the 3 territories by May 30th, 2022. All eligibility criteria are available here.
