French release of THE SLUT by Hagar Ben-Asher

THE SLUT, feature debut of the Israeli writer-director-actress Hagar Ben-Asher, will be released in France tomorrow, July 11th. The project, produced by Transfax Film Productions (Israel) and co-produced by Rohfilm (Germany), was developed within the FrameWork programme and received a Production Award of 100.000 Euro at the TorinoFilmLab Meeting Event in 2009. THE SLUT had its world premiere at last year\'s Cannes Film Festival, where it was selected in the official competition of the 50th Critics Week.

Hagar Ben-Asher is currently participating in the "Berlin - 3 Months 24/7" artist-in-residence programme, which allows two Israeli filmmakers to soak in the creative atmosphere of the German film industry during three months. There she is developing her new feature film project, co-produced by German company Rohfilm, with TFL\'s Franz Rodenkirchen as her script consultant.
