Take a closer look at the Jury and Awards of the TFL Meeting Event!

The TFL Meeting Event 2020 will conclude with the traditional Awards Ceremony, a moment to assign development, production and distribution awards to the best FeatureLab & ScriptLab projects.

The TFL Meeting Event 2020 will conclude with the traditional Awards Ceremony, a moment to assign development, production and distribution awards to the best FeatureLab & ScriptLab projects.

The international co-productions supported through the TFL Funds (TFL Audience Design Fund & TFL Co-Production Fund) will also have their special moments under the spotlights. Check all the awards & Juries!

FeatureLab’s Production Awards

The projects in advanced stage from FeatureLab are eligible for the TFL Production Awards (up to a total of € 180.000), assigned by the FeatureLab international Jury:
Yohann Comte, co-founder of Charades, a Paris-based sales and production company, with title such as Diamantino by Gabriel Abrantes & Daniel Schmidt;
Eve Gabereau, producer with experience in independent distribution, founder of Modern Films, a London-based, female-led, social issues-driven company;
Mike Goodridge, producer, founder of Good Chaos (United Kingdom) and credited for titles such as The Lobster by Yorgos Lanthimos (2015);
Annemarie Jacir, Palestinian producer at Philistine Films, writer/director with films presented at Cannes, Berlino, Venice and Locarno;
Joana Vicente, executive director & co-head of the Toronto International Film Festival, producer of over 40 feature films by acclaimed directors.


TorinoFilmLab’s Green Awards

With the aim of strengthening its efforts towards a more responsible industry, TorinoFilmLab created two awards.

- White Mirror - a writing grant of € 3.000, to be awarded to a ScriptLab project that tackles environmental issues, sustainability or any related changes happening in today’s world.

- Green Filming Award includes the realization of a sustainability plan, covering the agency certification costs if any, as well as a monetary contribution of € 2000. Launched in partnership with Trentino Film Commission, to encourage eco-sustainable actions on the production set. This award will be granted to the winning project of the FeatureLab’s Production Awards who put into practice the Green Film protocol.


Collateral prizes from our partners

The ScriptLab projects compete for the CNC Award, offered by CNC – Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée. This writing grant of € 8.000 will be assigned by a Jury composed of: Paolo Bertolin (Italy), writer and film programmer for Venice FF, Locarno Open Doors & Cannes' Directors' Fortnight; Stienette Bosklopper (Netherlands), owner and managing director of the production company Circe Films; Sata Cissokho (France), Head of Acquisitions at Memento Films International.

In addition, the FeatureLab projects will also be eligible for the following collateral prizes, thanks to TFL’s partners:

- Post-Production Award, a grant of € 10.000 in image and sound post-production services at Filmmore and Posta, plus a scholarship to participate in the APostLab post-production workshop 2021;

- Sub-Ti Award, offered by Sub-Ti Ltd., providing English or Italian or German subtitles;

- Sub-Ti Access Award, granted by Sub-Ti Access Srl., providing subtitles for the deaf and hearing impaired, and audio description for the blind and visually impaired, with audio subtitles.
