We are excited to announce that the 2020 edition of the TFL Meeting Event will take place digitally from the 16th to the 20th of November!
Dedicated to the presentation of the projects and film professionals accompanied throughout the year, the TFL Meeting Event will bring together a large community of international film professionals during a 5-day event.
A record number of 54 projects in development will be presented exclusively to the audience of decision makers. The selection will showcase feature film projects at an early stage developed within the screenwriting programme ScriptLab and first and second features at an advanced stage – both fiction and creative documentaries – accompanied within FeatureLab; and for the very first time the 12 original TV series projects from SeriesLab & SeriesLab – Italia. Furthermore, the TFL Meeting Event will be enriched with the pitching sessions of Red Sea Lodge, the Red Sea International Film Festival’s training programme dedicated to feature films from the Arab world, organised in collaboration with TFL.
A selection of works-in-progress will complete the line-up within TFL Coming Soon, while Italian producers will benefit from a special guidance within the frame of the initiative TFL Up & Coming – Italia.
This industry platform will also include a moment to reward the best projects with the TFL Production Awards, as well as collateral prizes backing further development, production and post-production.
Moving the co-production forum to the digital sphere will guarantee a truly international event, connecting even more film professionals from all over the world, expanding our boarders. The focus will remain on the pitching sessions and the one-on-one meetings organised with the participants, an exciting line-up of independent international projects, carefully curated by TorinoFilmLab. The TFL Meeting Event 2020 will explore new format and content, proposing a mix of live events and replays, thus providing a renewed agility in scheduling one’s agenda. The full programme will be unveiled in the autumn of 2020.
